Design / Build
How It Works

Collaborative Approach
Low-Stress Construction
What You Can Expect
When you work with OCCI on a design/build project, we become your single source of responsibility. You don’t have to juggle architects, construction management, and all the other moving parts. You only award one contract, rather than separate ones for design and construction. We handle your project from concept to completion.
Using our team’s expertise, we work from the first meeting to create the highest value building or facility for your budget. The process of value engineering during pre-construction looks for components, systems, or solutions to save you money and provide the best outcome. Architects alone cannot foresee issues, and often building designs need to be changed once real-world construction begins.
Expensive and time-consuming change orders occur far less often with design/build construction because the team designing your facility is in-house with your construction team. Communication issues and design changes are also minimized, and we keep you up-to-date with as much or as little project progress as you want.
No more chasing contractors or unreliable completion dates. You only have one call to make and one team, your team: Oradell Construction Company, Inc.
Biggest Advantages to Design/Build Construction
We establish your reliable estimated project costs early and can start building while design details are ironed out.
Save money with carefully chosen materials, cost-effective construction methods, and decreased labor expenses.
Because your team works together, solutions are innovative, and harmonious communication comes standard.
Design-Build Method
When your construction crew inevitably runs into an issue, it has to go back to the designer for costly change orders, increasing your cost and timeline.
Design/build construction eliminates all that.
Our Project Superintendents and Trade Foremen, equipped with invaluable on-site expertise, actively engage in the design review procedure. They provide valuable input on constructability, frequently resulting in cost savings, reduced Requests for Information (RFIs), and expedited project schedules.
Using design/build we can also begin construction after the initial plans are finished. Details can be completed while site work has begun.
At Oradell Construction, we take pride in our ability to self-perform multiple trades, allowing us to maintain high-quality control and efficiency throughout the entire design/build process. With our commitment to open communication, attention to detail, and utilization of new technologies, we consistently deliver exceptional results and exceed client expectations.
